Today's Power Acronym is a result of a conversation I heard with philosopher Tom Morris, an author of over 30 books and a PhD in philosophy and religious studies from Yale University.
Talks of purpose and doing worth that is purposeful was a central theme.
I think the following notes are an important reminder of what it means to live on purpose.
Power Acronym 166: D.D.D.D.
Drop the false things
Seasons come and seasons go.
Sometimes the biggest change we can make to our life has nothing to do with adding something.
The bigger the sacrifice, the bigger the reward.
Drop the falsehood.
Roll with the truth.
Discover your talents
Being aware of your own strengths is critical, and trying new things will only accelerate your growth.
Take inventory of what you're good at or ask friends or family to give you honest feedback about your skills. The answers may surprise you!
Develop those talents
If you're new to an industry, dive in head first. Read articles, listen to podcasts, purchase courses, read books, practice, practice practice.
Deploy for others and yourself
This is the biggest key - lead with love.
This Zig Zigler quote says it all:
You can have everything in life you want, if you will just help other people get what they want.
