Change your mind, change your life (in 6 easy steps!)
Do affirmations work?
Is personal development a bunch of bullshit?
To me, it depends.
How open are you?
Is your foot nailed to the floor, as Werner Erhard would say?
Meaning you’ve already made up your mind, fully convinced it's B.S.?
Or is that simply your Belief System, a “truth” you hold so close that you identify yourself with it?

Belief System
Today I was listening to Tony Robbins, the globally recognized legend in the self-help / personal development industry.
I’ve heard Tony speak many times over the years. If you want a great introduction, check out I Am Not Your Guru on Netflix.
In the talk I listened to today, the topic was Belief Busting systems and Tony shared a framework for examining and changing the way we think.
He said beliefs are like a table top.
And we support the table with “legs” of experiences, examples, and stories to reinforce the belief.
What starts as an idea, becomes a belief, and then a firm conviction.
So how do we rid ourselves of beliefs, or the habits that do not serve us?
How can we change our beliefs so that they align with who we want to be in the world?
Here’s the process:
It works if you work it.
Some people think self help is bullshit.
Others find 1 thing that helps them do a complete 180 turn from their old life.
It's all about the Belief System.
What’s your B.S.?
