Power Acronyms are created and curated to encourage, enrich, and empower you to live on purpose.
I say this because today's is another great one that comes courtesy of mental performance coach Brian Cain.
There was a time when I felt like this work wasn't good enough when an acronym didn't come 100% from my brain.
Then realized that's just fear and laziness talking.
Is it useful?
Is it valuable?
Does it fit within the mission/vision/values of this work?
That's essentially how I decide what becomes a Power Acronym and what doesn't.
That's just a small part of my own “system” for writing and sharing one every day of this year.
Brian Cain fixed this mental efficiency into today's Power Acronym, S.Y.S.T.E.M.
Power Acronym 127: S.Y.S.T.E.M.
Save Yourself Stress Time Effort Motivation
When something is in a S.Y.S.T.E.M., there are constraints that serve as catalyzing actions toward the result you are looking for.
Think K.I.S.S. (Keep It Simple, Stupid).
It might take a little extra work to put the system together, but the point is for whatever system you put in place, that it serves you and your goals.
I don't have a lot of time to write, so I don't pay attention to word count in my Power Acronym writing “system”.
Taking the constraint of them being all 100% original ideas away keeps me from stressing that I have to do all that OG creative work.
What systems do you have in place?
Or could you put in place?
So that when it's time to do something that takes time, effort, or motivation, it's not such a heavy willpower lift because you know the system serves you toward the result.
Don't catastrophize, systemize!
