I wrote this Power Acronym last summer and I'm happy to return to it now.
I've been thinking a lot about the standard I hold myself to and how that manifests in my leadership.
Leadership has a lot to do with what you stand for. Every day I find a new level to the meaning of expectations, accountability, and engagement.
Here's the Power Acronym:
Power Acronym 81: S.T.A.N.D.A.R.D.

The question is what authority?
What values, principles, or laws, do you submit to?
There are people who have authority of us in certain domains, but you are the ultimate authority in your life.
At least as far as you can control.
The most important standard is the one we hold ourself to, the stand we take that let's others know where we're at and look to go.
A deviation of that standard is part of being human. A habit of rebellion is not tolerable.
The active will to lock in to the behavior of someone who DOES uphold the standard, that does what they say they will do, is needed now more than ever before.
May the standard you set for your neighbor, your industry, and the world be virtuous.
What is your standard?
