Power Acronym 46: C.C.C.
how to find your voice, serve others, and build toward the future
There are a TON of words that start with C that could be included in this list.
But MY three C’s will always be the framework I’ve wrote a few years ago and built the Strong Com Podcast around.
Power Acronym 46: C.C.C.
The longer I’ve thought about these three C’s, the more I’ve grown to appreciate how they manifest in my personal and professional life. Here are my most recent thoughts:
Communication
There’s something about the spoken word that contains immense power.
The Bible, one of the world’s most ancient texts, dictates the origins of the world began with the word of god and that in fact the word was God.
In our finite human experience we take language itself for granted, or at least underestimate the power it holds in our everyday life.
We can only solve problems we know about, so we must speak about them to ourselves and others.
Here’s a powerful tool that speaks to this called “Name it to tame it” that speaks to this power.
My thesis around the three C’s that I will continue to explore is this relationship between what we say to ourselves, to others, and life itself and what we do in these realms.
I think that the closer we are to the truth of what is communicated, the more we are equipped to do the next right thing.
Community
The more I focus on the large issues of the world, the less I feel equipped to do anything about them.
What am I to do about global geopolitical unrest? Pandemics? Viral trends?
But when I think about the community I live and work in…my neighborhood…my literal neighbor…there's plenty I could do.
It is at this point I realize all that I see wrong with the world staring back at me in the mirror.
And so I will use my words to create positive change in myself so that I may be of greater service to others.
One way I'm excited about doing this is with Aspire Mentoring program. I’m looking forward to completing the new mentor onboarding and starting to serve my community in this way.
If you're local to East Texas I encourage you to find ways to serve your community, like this resource from the United Way called East Texas Cares.
Company
Strong Communication +
Strong Community
= Strong Company
I've never been great math but this equation makes sense to me.
When we can communicate clearly and in truth with ourselves and the people we do life with it gives rise to be a catalyst for positive change in our communities. This builds company, both the company we are building (like a business) AND the company we keep (the people we are around).
Which hopefully starts the process again.
The environments people find themselves become places where they feel safe and encouraged to speak from a true place and empowered to live a life that leads to growth to their own personal purpose.
Those are my three C’s, what are yours?
